Fashion Design + Creative Direction

6+ years in the fashion industry with experience in both established and startup brands. Specializing in Fashion Design with social media and creative direction expertise.

about

At fifteen, my journey in fashion design began with high school elective course. In that class I quickly unearthed leadership skills and established a unique creative outlet. Though I was the youngest in the class, I found myself on the executive board. From that point on I was hooked, and decided to further my pursuit into fashion. Graduating at just sixteen years old, I dove into my college education and soon transferred to FIDM.

Through my education and career, I’ve had the opportunity to experience many different aspects of the fashion industry. I’ve dabbled in everything from designing World Cup packaging, to launching brands featured in Vogue, GQ, Tatler, Glamour, and Vanity Fair.

I learn fast and am incredibly agile, which has allowed me to take on both large scale brands like NBD—producing a 120+ monthly sku count—as well as start-up brands like Z Supply’s contemporary brand Z Black. I take pride in my work ethic, and am always looking for opportunities to propel me to the next level.

Following my graduation from FIDM, I worked in social media management for Social Style House. My experience in social media marketing and brand development has allowed me to better understand the scope of the brand I’m designing for or launching. It is this experience that allows me to take a different approach when identifying and designing for a brand’s target customer.

Revolve

During my time at Revolve I learned the fast fashion industry inside and out. In my role I primarily designed for NBD while dabbling in a few other brands including GRLFRND and X by NBD. I managed 50%-60% of the brands monthly 150 sku count, and as a result time management and efficiency became two of my most prominent skillsets. I put those skills to use by assisting in the implementation of new tools to help streamline our design process.

Z Black

Z Black, a contemporary basics brand owned by Z Supply, was my second endeavour for the company. As a small collection with an emphasis on premium, soft fabrics, the entirety of production occurred domestically. This gave me the opportunity to get heavily involved with the manufacturing team and experience the evolution of the line from beginning to end. In addition to designing the line, I assisted in managing all aspects from label and packaging design to styling and photoshoots. Working with a fantastic team with a variety of strengths and expertise allowed me to bring my vision for Z Black to fruition.

Others Follow

Others Follow is a small Junior’s brand owned by Z Supply that can be found at hundreds of Tilly’s stores and boutiques nationwide. I was brought on to design for Others Follow, and given the task of refreshing the brand and identifying the essence of our target audience. In doing so, I added a more playful aesthetic to the brand while working hand in hand with marketing to ensure consistency in our social media presence as our target customer evolved.

Revoir

Revoir is a start-up ready to wear brand, and a passion project gone right. Through launching Revoir, I learned the fundamentals of starting a brand. When in development, I worked on everything from trim and fabric sourcing, label development/design, social media, garment construction/design, photoshoots, and creative direction. Since launching, Revoir has been featured in magazines including GQ, Tatler, Glamour, Vanity Fair, and Vogue Spain.
